NYC Council to introduce bills to have e scooters legal to ride in NYC

Two members of NYC Council, Ydanis Rodriguez and Rafael Espinal will introduce bill to have e-scooters legal to operate in NYC.

At the moment, its illegal to operate e-scooters in NYC facing $500 fine. If the bill passes within NYC Council, no details whether the mayor will sign to become law.

If passed, e-scooters can only be used on bike lanes and not sidewalks. The bill will be announced on Wednesday.
