NY government working hard to increase your utility bills

As part of the climate crisis in NY, the first company announced approval from NYS Public Service Commission to increase utility bills rate upstate. That company is National Grid and the governor is pleased with the approval while residents protest.

For downstate, it's an 11.4% increase on electric bills especially around NYC and 13.3% on gas that is used for hot water, heat and cooking all from ConEd. The green energy mandate which was set up in NYC to phase out fossil fuels to electric has increased manpower from 13 to 142 in one year. Soon, that number will be over 1,000 and counting.

Also, the union representing the 8,000 workers of ConEd stated a new pay hike of 17.83% was a victory for the next four years after the deal was finalized in 2024. Of course, that will be passed to the people paying bills by hiking the rates.

Most meteorologists predict this winter will be cold with more snow so now it's the time to save money for the heating bills as ConEd doesn't want to hear your pleas.
