NHP street named for Mark Farina

Today, residents of New Hyde Park came to witness the naming of a street after Mark Farina called Mark A Farina Memorial Walkway. Farina passed last year of RONA. According his memorial page, Since the age of 18, Mark has been an active member of the "Protection Engine Company #2" of the New Hyde Park Fire Department. He was an ex-Captain and served proudly for 46 years. He worked for the Incorporated Village of New Hyde Park for 38 years where he became the highway foreman. He volunteered tirelessly in the community with organizations such as the New Hyde Park Little League as a past President, and also as a lifelong member of Holy Spirit Parish.
