NHP LIRR station closure and parking info

Starting February 3, the New Hyde Park LIRR station will access a temporary 10 car platform from 2nd and 3rd Avenues between South 12 and South 8 Streets. Pedestrian detour routes will be in place and 100 temporary parking spots for commuters available at 124 Covert Avenue. The crossing bridge is expected to complete by July 12. The roadway below the bridge is except to open by Summer 2020. There will be five lane roadway and pedestrian sidewalks below the tracks.
