Murder suicide investigation on Long Islands

The SCPD reported a murder suicide investigation in Islip section of Suffolk County this morning around 6:30am. This is by Parsons Landing near 1st Street. Detectives say the husband fatally shot his wife and then turned the gun to himself after a dispute.

Neighbors woke to the loud noise of gunshot wounds and called 911 after the husband was standing in front of the house during the incident.

The medical examiner transported both bodies to conduct autopsies.

The investigation continues.
