Move over humans now comes racoons

The NYC Dept of Health is now working to vaccinate raccoons against rabies in the city. After no kill mouse, mice and rats rule in NYC, raccoons are now being taken well care of.

The city will work with the US Agricultural Dept by placing small packets that have fish odor around cemeteries in Queens, Brooklyn and Manhattan to start with. Then expand to other areas.

12 lovely animals were tested for rabies and they were treated before releasing them to the city where humans also live.

A spokesperson stated rabies can be lethal.

The program is to prevent the rabies from spreading to other states.

So far NYC has three main mammal groups constantly seen around some humans can't stand, mouse group, raccoons and possums. Possums are not being considered for any treatment at the moment.

A new bill to terminate mouse traps and glues or anything that harms them in NYC is in the works.
