Mother and child recovering from assault in Long Island City

The NYPD reported a mother and her 11 months old child were assaulted by a suspect who approached to use the phone. When the victim refused, the suspect approached again and refused. This is when the suspect with so much pride became enraged, who will not take NO assault on the victim and her child who is 11 months old.

The incident was reported this morning around 11:30pm at the 23rd Street subway of M train in Long Island City.

Police described the suspect as male, Hispanic from witnesses who spoke Spanish to the victim. The perp took off from the subway station to the 23rd Street road.

EMS transported the mother and child to a local hospital now in stable condition.

The NYPD will be releasing the surveillance pictures soon if no arrest is made.
