Mini me trucks coming to NYC for deliveries

NYC is on a roll with congestion pricing, Sammy’s Law, outdoor sheds, bike lanes, trash containers in the street and now daylighting.

Up next is mini me which is microhubs from Net Zero Logistics, UPS, and Amazon. Microhubs are central locations where delivery trucks can unload cargo and transfer it to smaller, safer, and more sustainable forms of transportation for the final delivery, including cargo bikes and handcarts. The three chosen locations for the initial pilot programs are Amsterdam Avenue and West 73rd Street; Amsterdam Avenue and West 85th Street, and Broadway and West 77th Street, all in Manhattan.

Also more regulations added with pedal assist cargo bikes, lockers to prevent package thefts, off hours incentives and more features. More than 3,000 locations have been selected in NYC including Queens to be set up this year until all are positioned with deliveries.

Enjoy.
