Mayor de Blasio went home with empty promises after town hall meeting in Forest Hills

On February 19, Mayor de Blasio was in Forest Hills for town hall meeting. He walked in with Karen Koslowitz, the council member representing Forest Hills, Forest Park, Kew Gardens, Rego Park, and Richmond Hill. A staff was seen handing out questions from the audience collected beforehand and later nodding heads to choose the selected person to speak. Three subjects were the main discussion and the mayor blamed somewhere else such as right wing group for false propaganda. They are community jail in Kew Gardens, bail reform and the Schools Chancellor Richard Carranza. de Blasio defended on all three by stating they are on the right track to success despite books and heckles. Another Assemblymember Hevesi was there who supports the bail reform along with the newly appointed DA, Melinda Katz. In the end, de Blasio left with no promises or follow ups but thanks all for coming.
