Man charged after the shooting in Bayside

Police charged Jarrell Davis, 33 of Queens Village around 2am on March 25 with arson, assault, weapon possession and other slew of charges from the shooting in Bayside.

The incident happened around 3pm on Northern Blvd and 215 Street outside the 111th Precinct.

Police reported Davis struck a marked police vehicle and then cops came out. From there, he used accelerants to light vehicles. Police shot him after he displayed a knife and running toward cops. A total of eight rounds were fired and hit Davis in the leg and torso.

He remains in stable condition at New York-Presbyterian Queens Hospital.

The knife has been recovered. Queens DA's office is awaiting arraignment.
