Macys announces store closings in NY

This afternoon, Macys announced more locations closing nationwide including NY.

The company announced in a press statement the closures are part of a new strategy to return to sustainable, profitable sales growth with 350 locations.

150 locations will be closed in the coming weeks and months.

For local areas, Lake Success is on the list for close for good.

For Queens, the location in Elmhurst at Queens Place is on the list.

For Long Island, the following locations, Melville and Sunrise Mall.

For Brooklyn, two locations including one in Sheepshead Bay.

For the Bronx, it's at Fordham Place.

One in Staten Island and upstate Mall at Greece Ridge.

A date has not been announced.
