MTA has a new love message called fare increase

Hey it's just a nickel and a dime.

Come Labor Day, the MTA is close to supporting the proposed fare increase from the current $2.75 to $2.90 to keep it under $3 so people don't cry. The last fare increase was in 2019.

Express bus fare will go up by 25 cents to $7 and 7 day bus fare to $64 up by $2.

The weekly MetroCards will go up by a dollar to $34. The 30 day card will be $132 by increasing $5.

With Congestion Pricing set to go for real, MTA can use the itty bitty money to cover the deficit.
