MTA all a go with the new bus network design in Queens

This time, fewer bus stops so be prepared to be a bit active.

The MTA today approved the new bus routes city wide to 124 from 113 with fewer stops. The busiest routes from Queens Blvd, Northern Blvd to Lefferts Blvd will have increased frequencies.

This will cost the taxpayers a cool $35 to $40 million but expected to hit $50 million.

Despite some opposition, the majority voted in favor of the new routes but mostly due to rush hour by adding more buses from subway stations.

The new routes will start in the coming weeks.
