Long Island s long serving DA indicted

Suffolk County District Attorney Thomas Spota, 76, indicted in police brutality cover-up. Also, Spota's assistant, Christopher McPartland, 51, the Chief of Investigations and Chief of the Government Corruption Bureau is indicted. It was part of James Burke's 2012 pummeling of a handcuffed man from Medford, Suffolk County inside a police interview room. The feds are heading to Central Islip to arraign both Spota and McPartland today afternoon. Burke is currently serving 46 months prison term. Update - Spota and McPartland pleaded not guilty and bail is $500K each. They put up their homes and released.
