LIE closed in Nassau County

Long Island Expressway both eastbound and westbound closed at the Exit 40 due to an overturned vehicle ith entrapment.

The vehicle is now on fire.

Chopper is heading to land on the expressway for injuried transport.

Police have closed off Exits 40 and 41 re-routing traffic for alternate mode of transportation.

EMS, ESU, firefighters and police are working on the scene.

Avoid the route.
