Jumaane Williams wins the NYC Public Advocate seat

With polls closed around 9pm and counting began, Jumaane Williams had the majority in Manhattan and Brooklyn, Eric Ulrich had Queens and Staten Island and Michael Blake with the Bronx.

With Williams winning by 32%, it was Ulrich who came second with 20% followed by Melissa Mark-Viverito around 11%. However, Williams will have to face the upcoming November election again for the same seat and primary in June.
