Homicide investigation of a couple in Jackson Heights

The NYPD closed off an apartment in Jackson Heights reporting a couple found dead inside. The incident was reported last night around 1:45am on 84th Street near 34th Avenue. Police say this is a possible murder suicide between a male, 20 and his girlfriend, 18 after neighbors heard a dispute and then gunshots.

ESU recovered the weapon inside the apartment.

The medical examiner transported the bodies to conduct autopsies.

The investigation continues.
