Hit and run in Bellerose

Police closed off Commonwealth Blvd by the Hillside Avenue Exit road reporting a pedustruck by vehicle. The driver took off toward south Commonwealth Blvd to Cross Island Parkway northbound. This is by 84th Drive. Police reported the driver was involved in a fender bender on the Cross Island Parkway and took off by exiting Hillside Avenue when the incident happened. Ongoing investigation.
