Hit and run driver arrested for the fatality in Jamaica

Police arrested Charles Fleming, 55 and charged with hit and run involving the death of a 19 year old teen who was riding an electric scooter.

Fleming was also charged with DWI and vehicular assault.

The incident happened on October 14 around 11:45pm on Rockaway Blvd and Guy R Brewer Blvd in Jamaica.

The dead teen identified as Eternity Stevens. Her friend, a 23 year old woman who was also riding the scooter injured.

Police reported that Fleming rear ended causing the victim to fall off from the scooter and took off.

Fleming was arrested in Nassau County after he was pulled over by cops for driving erratically.
