Heavy smoke in Brooklyn

Around 11am today, FDNY reported lumber fire at a commercial location in Brooklyn. Ths is by Broadway ad Hewes Street.

This was a 4th alarm in the storage lot behind the lumber yard.

The fire is ongoing and heavy smoke persists in the area.

Residents are advised to keep the windows closed.

Traffic delays from Manhattan to Queens and vice versa.

Firefighters are working on the scene.
