Carjacking in Ridgewood

Police were called to Hancock Street and Cypress Avenue reporting a carjacking. The incident was reported around 2am last night in Ridgewood. The suspect, male, Hispanic approached the driver and bashed the victim with an unknown object. Then took off with the vehicle, Lexus RS350 toward Brooklyn direction.

EMS transported the driver to a local hospital.

So far no arrests.

Ongoing investigation.
