Heavy fire at a local motel in Hicksville

Firefighters are at 828 S Oyster Bay Road reporting heavy fire. This is at the local Days Inn Motel. EMS is checking for injuries.

The fire started in the first floor and extended to second floor.

All are under evacuation.

Firefighters are working on the scene.
