Heavy fire at a home on Fresh Meadows

FDNY report heavy fire at a home in Fresh Meadows. This is in 188 Street at the unit 81/51. The fire started in the basement and extended to the rest of the home. All residents are evacuated on time. EMS is checking for injuries. Now reporting second alarm.

Local neighbors are advised to close windows due to heavy smoke in the area.

Firefighters are working on the scene.
