Heavy fire at a home in East Elmhurst

FDNY report heavy fire at 24-33 89th Street. This is a private dwelling in East Elmhurst.

EMS reported injuries.

Firefighters are working on the scene.

Update - Over ten injuries with one dead.

The fire started around 11pm and was brought under control by 12:30am.
