Health dept officials are warning local stores to remove items related to mercury in NYC

The NYC Health Dept has sent warning letters to remove over ten items related to skin whitening manufactured mainly in Pakistan due to high content of mercury. Already several locations that sells such items has removed from over the counters in Brooklyn and Queens. The reason due to mercury which is one of the primary reason of problems from kidney damage to immune system as well as affecting the fetus during pregnancy. They are identified as Face Fresh Beauty Cream made by Shaheen Cosmetics, Pakistan, Faiza No. 1 Beauty Cream made by A.M. Cosmetics (Pak), Pakistan Faiza Beauty Cream made by Poonia Brothers (Pak), Pakistan, Due Beauty Cream made by Kreative Cosmetics (Pvt) Ltd., Sandal Whitening Beauty Cream made by MMC Cosmetics, Pakistan, Chandni Whitening Cream made by SJ Enterprises, Pakistan, Golden Pearl Beauty Cream made by Golden Pearl Cosmetics, Seven Herbal Ubtan Cream made by C.P.H.L., Stillman?s Freckle Cream and Stillman?s Skin Bleach Cream made in Pakistan under license from the Stillman Company, Inc., USA and two companies from Spain, Niuma Medicated Antiseptic Soap made by Niuma Belleza, Spain and Niuma Lemon Medicated Germicidal Soap made by Niuma Belleza, Spain.
