Harlem River Drive will have a new ramp by 2021

A new route announced from RFK Bridge to the northbound Harlem River Drive with a ramp to local streets in Manhattan. An estimated 17,000 vehicles daily will have access to local streets in Manhattan. This will remove traffic from local East Harlem streets. The current route is exit at 125 Street heading north to 2nd Avenue and then merge to Harlem River Drive. The ramp construction is expected to complete by 2021. The ramp development and plan was given to Judlaau Contracting and cost the taxpayers almost $50 million.
