Grand larceny is at all time high from QV to NHP

Both Nassau County and NYC police confirmed grand larceny has increased since August from Queens Village, Bellerose, Glen Oaks, Floral Park to New Hyde Park.

All incidents involving thefts from properties within the vicinity of Hillside Avenue, Jamaica Avenue and Union Turnpike.

The incidents are the highest the community has reported.

Almost all names arrested are John Doe with no known addresses in NY and released with desk appearances.

The latest incident was reported on Hillside Blvd near Hillside Avenue when the property owner confronted and alerted police after midnight. The suspect, male, black has not been apprehended. Several incidents reported of suspects walking around with empty soda cans while staking out places.

Residents are advised to stay alert for intruders.
