Former bowling alley is a go with affordable housing in Flushing

The longtime bowling location, Whitestone Alley in Flushing will be demolished to make way for a 9 story apartment building under the affordable housing. Of 415 units, 113 will be alloted for affordable rent. There will be 200 parking spaces on the ground. The bowling alley will remain open until a date is announced for the closing to make way for the apartments. The City Planning Commission will need the approval for the plan awaiting for the confirmation for the next step. So until then, bowl away.
