Five thousand million and growing in NYC

NYC never says no to anything or anyone. Just line up to get taxpayer funds. It's just that easy.

The NYC Mayor announced over $5 billion dollars in advance payments to non profit organizations under the city's contract system. This is the new path to more up front cash and contracts than people involved dream of to keep the administration running with so many perks.

This is up from $2.8 billion from 2025 to the year 2026.

From much-needed upfront resources to organizations that provide critical services to the most vulnerable New Yorkers, including children, justice-involved individuals, older adults, people with disabilities, and those experiencing homelessness, the city will cough up taxpayer funds but where does the money go?

Well, there is no audit unless taxpayers or a group stands up and demands.

One example is Jackson Heights Elmhurst Corona vicinity where victims of human trafficking are living in fear. More than $50 million taxpayer funds drained with no audit without updates. The latest incident was in Corona yesterday where a woman was stabbed and EMS transported her to a local hospital. The victim refuses to cooperate with authorities while the non profits are carrying on with operations without results.

This is a frequent crisis in the area many local elected officials are afraid to speak up but says funds are being arranged to handle well.
