First meeting of the minds done for that casino license in NY

On October 8, the NYS Gaming Facility Location Board held the first official meeting to review four locations for the three casino licenses in NYC. Brooklyn, Staten Island and Manhattan are not in the picture. Now it's all in the Bronx and Queens with one in Yonkers. The panel consisting of five members selected by the Governor's office will decide the locations based on long term economic prosperity and the highest money making locations for the state. The one to watch out for is Flushing, a new changing area which is booming where debt is higher than income for local residents. The Resorts in South Ozone Park and the Empire Casino in Yonkers are already in the lead due to their existing locations just needing advancement to make all to gamble more. The other in the Bronx by Bally's has less chance. By October 14, all applicants must submit the tax rate to match who is able to pay higher to the state and other supplemental materials if required.

Also there will be no public meetings until December when the licenses will be announced to the selected applicants.

So once the licenses are issued, it's a done deal.

Lastly, the governor's office is working on setting aside taxpayer funds to create new programs on helping people with gambling issues, family and gambling, job and gambling, love strains and gambling, anything bad and gambling and etc.
