Fire at a commercial location in Fresh Meadows

FDNY are reporting fire in the basement at 168-05 Union Turnpike in Fresh Meadows.

Reported smoke from basement prompted to call 911 by 7-Eleven workers from next door liquor store.

Firefighters are working on the scene. Union Turnpike closed in both directions between 168 and 170 Streets.

The entire business from 7-Eleven to the corner convenience store is closed until further notice.
