Female stabbed to death inside nail salon at Jackson Heights

Police are reporting a 35 year old female stabbed to death at a nail salon in Jackson Heights. This is at 93-05 37th Avenue after calls came in for domestic dispute. The suspect took off on foot found shortly with with stab wounds. That perp is taken to a local hospital. Homicide detectives are on the scene. it happened after 7pm. Ongoing investigation.
Update - The man stabbed his wife from behind multiple times and walked around until he hugged her who was dying. The dead wife identified as Carmen Iris Santiago. The husband identified as 39-year-old William Rivas charged with homicide and weapon possession.
