Fatal accident on Cross Island Parkway

Police reported one dead after vehicle crash on Cross Island Parkway. It happened around 3am on the southbound by Belt Parkway. Reported 2007 Infiniti G35 struck a tree and the driver ejected after losing control. Then the vehicle was engulfed in flames. EMS reported the driver, male, 25 was dead on the scene. Reported the vehicle was speeding from the odometer according to authorities.
