Economic boost gearing up for Jackson Heights to Flushing

It's a taxpayer funded haven so beautiful to miss and Queens got'em.

More "peddle people peddle" is on the outlook for Roosevelt Avenue by eliminating parking spots. The train to the plane route on Broadway is on the scope for pedicabs, bikes and maybe tuk-tuk which is often called autorikshaw. The other alternative is to walk people walk.

Yesterday, the NYS Senate approved the land redesignation Bill S7121A for the Flushing casino by vote of 54 to 5. The NYS Assembly passed by 138-7.

The bill is now with the Governor who is expected to sign it.

In the proposal, there are plans including Flushing Skypark, pedestrian and bicycle bridge connecting from Flushing to Willets Point. Lobbyists are eyeing the expansion on Roosevelt Avenue as a car free zone to Broadway. More nonprofits and other agencies are joining the bandwagon forecasting so many opportunities to use taxpayer funds to get started. Over 50,000 local residents, mostly low income, are against the proposed casino if approved fearing gentrification.

Meanwhile, the NYPD continues to report crimes from robberies, assaults to the oldest profession as usual on a daily basis. Police have increased patrol on 74th Street subway station after many tourists were victims of crime.

There were multiple victims of robberies in the same vicinity. The latest incident was armed robbery on Roosevelt Avenue and 92nd Street this morning and another one on Sanford Avenue and 155th Street.
