Dead body found floating from Bayside to Douglaston

The NYPD is by Fort Totten reporting a dead body was found floating in the area. This came after locals alerted 911 in the area earlier.

ESU divers now report the body was tracked to Douglaston after extensive search from the initial call.

The medical examiner is working to transport the body to conduct an autopsy to determine the cause of death.

The investigation continues.
