DOT issued travel advisory for the LIE in Bayside

Focus on Exit 29 on the Long Island Expressway starting 7am on August 29 to 3pm on September 5 where construction will continue. The closures are necessary to facilitate an ongoing project to replace the Oceania Street Bridge over I-495. This is an $83 million project funded by taxpayers.

To access Springfield Boulevard during the closure of the Exit 29 ramp, motorists should take the eastbound Long Island Expressway (I-495) to Exit 30 (East Hampton Boulevard/Douglaston Parkway) and follow the signed detour.

To access the eastbound Long Island Expressway (I-495) during the closure of the entrance ramp from Horace Harding Expressway and 213th Street, motorists should continue along eastbound Horace Harding Expressway and take the Springfield Boulevard entrance ramp.
