Coronavirus update from NYC

This weekend, Mayor de Blasio will decide the fine for not practicing social distancing. The mayor is looking to fine people up to $500 per offense.
Religious places will face fines and closures if people are gathered without social distancing.
512 members of the NYPD have tested positive, of that 442 uniformed members. A total of 4,111 uniformed employees were out sick today or 11.4% of the NYPD's uniformed workforce.
80 jail staff and 103 detainees at Rikers Island tested positive. 1,100 approximate parole violators will be released this weekend.
