Community Preservation Coalition to sue the city to stop the new jail in Queens

A group of homeowners, Community Preservation Coalition from Forest Hills, Briarwood and kew Gardens hired Klein Slowik to sue to the city to stop building a community jail in Kew Gardens. The civil lawsuit under Article 78 allows civilians to challenge any decisions made by the city based on unlawful grounds. The lawsuit is underway and the city will comment after receiving the documents. Meanwhile, the civic associations are continuing to collect funds for the lawsuit.
