Coming soon to NYC pack of cig at 13

On Wednesday, August 9, NYC Council passed the bill, Int 1544 by 42 votes and 9 against that will raise the price of pack of cigarettes to $13 from the current $10.50. Mayor di Blasio is expected to sign the bill. Another bill, Int 1547 will reduce the number of stores selling tobacco products to 40% within 10 years in NYC. It will limit licensed to new store to sell them. As for e-cig, the new bill, Int 1532 will be classified separate from cigarettes and tobacco products. If passed, no license will be given to new stores to sell. Another bill, Int 1131 will eliminate pharmacy stores to stop selling tobacco products within 10 years. Mayor di Blasio reported of 900,000 people who smoke regularly wants to reduce to the lowest as possible and hinted 160,000 in 3 years. Good luck with that.
