Christmas tree pick up schedule for NYC

Starting Tuesday, January 2 to 13, the NYC Dept of Sanitation will pick up Christmas trees which will be then recycled into compost for public parks, institutions and community gardens. All lights, ornaments, stands and other items must be removed before placing outside. On Saturday, January 6 and 7, trees can be brought to Cunningham Park for mulching at Union Turnpike and 196th Street from 10am to 2pm.
