CE will remain closed due to fatality

The Highway CIS Unit will continue the investigation on the Clearview Expressway northbound by diverting traffic to LIE. This is Bayside.

The motorcyclist died at the local hospital. Police sources stated the motorcyclist hit a vehicle and lost control around 2pm.

The expressway is expected to be open after the investigation is complete later. The driver that was hit is cooperating with the police. For now drivers are advised to use alternate traffic.
