Body of a two year old found in College Point

The NYPD closed off the waterfront by College Point reporting a body of a two year old male child had been recovered.

This is near the Whitestone Bridge.

ESU divers removed the body this afternoon and the medical examiner transported it to conduct an autopsy. The Queens Harbor Patrol continues to search for evidence around the vicinity.

The NYPD released a statement the body believed to be the missing child from the Bronx last month who was last seen on May 10th at his grandmother's house.

The child's father, male, 20 was arrested for custodial interference and remanded at Rikers last month. Also, was questioned about the missing child part.

Now detectives are resuming with the investigation focused on the child's father.

The investigation continues.
