Body of a male removed from Flushing Meadows Corona Park

This morning around 10am, the NYPD were called to the Fountain of the Planets which is located inside the Flushing Meadows Corona Park reporting a male was seen going in the water and never came out. This is in the vicinity of College Point Blvd and Fowler Avenue in Flushing.

The ESU divers removed the body of a male unresponsive, 37 years old and the medical examiner transported the body to conduct an autopsy.

Detectives are working on the case.

Additional details including how the male ended up in the water was not disclosed.

The investigation continues.
