Become a Master Composter in NYC

NYC is now offering a Master Composter Certificate Course and it’s free for all residents 18 and above. Just show up to any location that’s offered and it’s year around courses. The course will focus on outreach techniques, composting programs, urban compost design, basic compost science and all others with composts and more composts. If you attend 7 course workshops, 2 field trips and 30 hours of approved compost related volunteering in the city, you will receive a nice certificate you can frame on the wall.

This is the new campaign from the City Council with an allotted budget to make NYC zero waste.
