Basement fire in Port Washington

Firefighters reported fire at 17 Sands Place. This is a private dwelling in Port Washington, Nassau County. The fire started around 1:30pm in the basement. EMS reported minor injuries.

The fire was brought under control by 2pm.

The cause of fire is under investigation.
