August 1 2017 New law for NYC business

All businesses from eatery, supermarket to laundromat in NYC must recycle garbage for both public and private collection including private carting. This include the usual paper, cardboard, beverage cartons, plastics, glass, metal and etc. Also, civilians can call 311 to report large garbage disposed outside not placed properly as part of recycle. The fine range from $25 per bag to $1,000 depending on the size. Since NYC does not delivery packets of recycle information, business owners can call 311 to receive details in the mail.
