Arrest made following narcotics investigation in Lyons

On September 9, 2025, the New York State Police in Lyons received a complaint about possible narcotics activity at a residence located on Queen Street in the town of Lyons. During the investigation, information was developed identifying the suspect.

On September 10, 2025, Troopers conducted a traffic stop on a 2012 Dodge Ram 1500 on Broad Street in the town of Lyons for a vehicle and traffic violation. The operator and sole occupant, Adam Thomas, age 48, was found to be in possession of approximately 90 grams of cocaine. He was subsequently arrested.

Later the same day, members of the New York State Police obtained and executed a search warrant at the residence of Adam Thomas. The following items were recovered:

Approximately 2 kilograms of suspected cocaine (intact, untested).

Approximately 90 grams of suspected cocaine.

Four illegally possessed handguns.

Approximately 8 grams of suspected fentanyl.

$2,767.00 in U.S. currency.

A gray digital scale with residue.

Adam Thomas was charged with the following:

Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 1st (A-I Felony)

Two Counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd: Intent to Sell (B Felony)

Four Counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd (C Felony)

Endangering the Welfare of a Child (A Misdemeanor)

Adam Thomas was transported to Wayne County Jail for centralized arraignment.

The New York State Police were assisted by the Wayne County Sheriff's Office Narcotics Unit.

This is an ongoing investigation.
