Armed male shot by police in Jamaica

Police closed off 164 Street and Jamaica Avenue reporting an armed male was shot by police after knife wielding against the officers. The violence interruptor is not authorized when someone has a weapon but only police officers can.

ESU disabled the armed male to the ground.

EMS is working to transport the male to a local hospital.

This is near the legal marijuana center, the only legal facility in Queens. Reported this was a dispute involving two people with one being stabbed. EMS is working to transport the stabbed male to the hospital also.
