Amazon is hiring 2 000 in NYC with average salary of 100 000

Amazon will have a new office in Manhattan that will create 2,000 new, high paying jobs in sales, marketing, IT and finance with $100,000 salary. The location, 5 Manhattan West on 10th Avenue between 31 and 33rd Streets is part of New York?s Excelsior Jobs Program scheduled for $20 million dollars in tax credit. Its a 15 year lease signed on September 21 with the building owner, Brookfield Property Partners. The jobs are usually assigned to recruitment agencies to save time to find the right candidates. Such companies hires people from India, China, Romania and etc due to lack of skilled workers in the USA. Minimum requirement for such jobs are bachelors, masters, MBA and often PhD with high level Grade Point Average (GPA) above 3.0 usually from top known colleges and universities. This is the debate companies such as Amazon are facing with shortage of skilled workers in the USA related to the immigration subject.
