A person shot in New Hyde Park

Police closed off Marcus Avenue before New Hyde Park Road reporting a person shot. Police reported the suspect, male, black seen on foot running toward Union Turnpike westbound. A witness pointed the male to police heading to Lakeville Road. The shooting occurred by the medical building on Marcus Avenue across ShopRite. Heavy police personnel all over searching for the suspect. EMS, ESU are also working on the scene.

More EMS are heading to check on patients with medical conditions at the buildings when the shooting started.
